The Chestnut Hill Book Festival starts Friday night and runs through the weekend, with a lineup that touts over 50 local and nationally celebrated authors, chess games, kids activities, workshops and entertainment. This weekend also starts the Trolley Car Diner’s Movie Night Series! Starting at 9pm on Saturdays through the month of July, the diner sports some classic flicks. This week, Saturday July 10, the move is Grease. See you there, 9pm!
Also, another one for the older kids (ages 7-12)… Eastern State Penitentiary is holding a free French-themed block party and playful reenactment of the Storming of the Bastille (listed as more influenced by Monty Python than French history). Festival is 2:30-5:30pm, the storming commences at 5:30!
