Summer in Philadelphia means many kids have lots of free time on their hands.  Here are 50 free and local ways to keep them busy and happy.  And if you’re new to Philly or just stopping by for a visit, there are some great insider favorites in here too:

 

1. Spend the day climbing and twirling at Smith Playhouse.

 

2. Walk the Mural Mile Tour in Philadelphia.

 

3. Run the hoses at the Fireman’s Hall Museum.

 

4. Hot out?  Stomp around at a Sprayground.

    Young Rembrandts, an educational and fun after-school drawing program in Philadelphia, is offering FREE drawing lessons on the Race Street Pier (Columbus Blvd & Race Street)every Sunday during the summer, beginning July 8th! 1-5pm… For ages 4 to 12…. Cartoons, super heroes, princesses, vehicles, animals, insects… you name it! Come out and draw with us!

    I LOVE this list! Thank you for sharing. The Plymouth Meeting Mall always have an event every 1st Wednesday at 11am! And if you sign them up for the “Kids Klub” there are some goodies the kids can get, last time my daughter got a free meal from Chick Fil A! Here are the links

    You can also include fireworks every Friday in New Hope, Pa. And stop by the kismet boutique. This article was very helpful!
