The Wissahickon Charter School is now accepting applications for two sites. The school is expanding to build a second site adjacent to the campus of the Awbury Arboretum. This new site is slated to open in the fall of 2014. Kimberly Krasnow, Talent Manager at WCS shared information on the number of new slots that will be available for students: “The new site will open with grades K-3 and 6 in year one. We anticipate having 52 spots in Kindergarten and first grade, and 54 spots in grades 2, 3 and 6. In total, there will be 266 students in year one. At the existing site, we will have Kindergarten spots and a small number of spots in grades 1-7.”
